Swore I wouldn’t do this..

So it has been over a month.. that was fast.
I guess I’ve just been really busy lately, and haven’t really done anything artistic to write about. I made some fliers for the local roller derby league that’s starting up. I’ll post some pictures later.. or tomorrow… or sometime.

I hope to be working on illustrations for a comic book sometime soon. I don’t think I have ever read an entier ocmpic book, so it should be interesting. Hopefully knowing nothing about the way comics are supposed to look will be a help, not a hinderance.

I have been working on some new music, with some new people. We’ll see how that goes.

I guess that’s it!

Garage sales!

I went to a bunch of garage sales yesterday, and got some cool stuff.

I got some marantz speakers, a no-name keyboard, a heathkit capaci-tester (made from a kit in 1963), a U.S. Army Crystal Rectifier test set TS-268 E/U (from 1977 I think), an AM/FM battery powered radio, and some cool vintage tins. Should make for some cool projects.

Atari Punk Console

I am currently working on building an Atari Punk Console as my first synthesiser production project. I’m going to categorize this and all other similar  posts under circuit bending, even though they’re not circuit bending. Close enough.

So an Atari Punk Console (APC) is basically a little box that makes beeping sounds. The original circuit was based on the audio circuit on the Atari 2600, and produces similar sounds to that system. It’s basically a really simple, little synthesizer.

I’ll post more as the project comes along. I’m excited.
